Outreach

As an affiliate of the Penn State Center for Language Science and Social Science Research Institute, I have completed a number of science outreach activities. 

I have worked with different schools in the surrounding communities increasing brain awareness. We showed kids how to make brain hats and pipe cleaner neurons. 

For many years, I volunteered at the Central Pennsylvania Arts Festival Children's Day discussing both the importance of linguistic diversity and bilingualism, as well as the benefits of brain research.
